Zoetis is looking for an Area Veterinary Manager.
The person in this role will develop mutually beneficial and productive long-term partnerships with our customers and will maintain these relationships with the appropriate quantity & quality of activity.
The Area Veterinary Manager acts as a remote and in field technical contact for designated customers (Key opinion leaders, veterinarians, veterinary practices, clinics, universities, vet nurses, pet influencers). He/she visits customers and reaches out to them by phone or via online tools, such as Teams or Zoom, email or other digital platforms and provides high quality information, technical advice, and training on the total companion animals product portfolio.
This role contributes to the overall success of Zoetis by delivering to the sales growth & market share gain targets for the designated product lines by delivering highly qualitative digital and physical training to our customers.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Planning
– Maintain high level of expertise with the evolving portfolio of products, services, pricing, competition, market and industry trends.
– Develop and maintain account plans in collaboration with Commercial Operations, VetOps, ABM, AMs.
– Ensure customer information and call reports are continuously updated through CRM system.
– Align activities and account plans to marketing programmes and management direction in line with the Solution Selling model and aligned with the call plan of the NL AM call plans.
– Analyse and interpret actual and potential sales and growth opportunities to support delivery of sales targets through adapted training.
Relationships
– Develop mutually beneficial and productive long-term partnerships with both key opinion leaders and our customers based on high quality account plans.
– Develop customized customer solutions utilizing all available resources, such as products, value-added services, trainings.
– Contribute to the success of the team by sharing best practices with colleagues and proactively contributing ideas.
Call and digital activities
– Deliver call activity in accordance with agreed KPIs to achieve the required coverage and frequency with identified target customers.
– Ensure clear and specific objectives exist for each individual physical or digital call.
– Deliver relevant marketing and technical messages, product information and training programmes consistent with management direction in line with Solution Selling model
– Proactively identify customer opportunities and capitalize on them.
– Co-ordinate with colleagues in order to achieve positive changes to the customers understanding and use of our portfolio of products, services and pricing.
– Accurately record call activity in the CRM system, in line with company guidance.
– Develop digital marketing and informative campaigns to outreach to customers.
– Maintain and expand digital platforms aligned with marketing strategies.
– Ensure clear and timely follow up plan is in place and actioned.
Compliance
– Maintain high standards of business conduct and compliance, adhering particularly to Pharmacovigilance Policy, Global vet Policy, Zoetis values, travel & expenses policy and local codes of practise.
– Maintain accurate business records including CRM and communicate effectively with the Area Business Manager and other stakeholders.
– Manage allocated customer support budget with tight control to avoid overspends.
– Responsible for collecting, recording and reporting of post-marketing animal health adverse events (pharmacovigilance, related to a Zoetis product) in a timely manner.

TRAINING & QUALIFICATIONS
– Veterinarian preferably with relevant practical experience
– Fluent in Dutch with a good knowledge of English
– Digital expertise or strong interest
– IT literate. Able to use standard business software and communication tools.
