As a Global QHSSE Advisor, Land you support our Roll-Lift operations in the field of Quality, Health, Safety, Security and Environment (QHSSE). You work closely with colleagues both in the office and on site, help promote a positive safety culture, and ensure our working methods comply with laws, regulations, and internal standards.

Position

The Global QHSSE Advisor, Land supports the development, implementation, and maintenance of safe working practices and promotes safety awareness throughout the organization. You maintain the QHSSE management system (ROMS), coordinate audits and certifications, analyze incidents and risks, and translate findings into practical improvements. You act as a point of contact for project teams, suppliers, and operational colleagues on site. In doing so, you help ensure the continuous improvement of QHSSE performance across the business.

Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Manage, monitor, review, update, implement, and report on all QHSSE aspects for Land operations.
  • Maintain the Roll Group Operating Management System (ROMS).
  • Execute and follow up on all internal and external audits when necessary.
  • Support the coordination of related certification and inspection programs (e.g. ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISM).
  • Ensure investigations of QHSSE incidents take place; provide input and advice, document findings and recommendations, and track the implementation of corrective actions.
  • Manage and monitor risk assessments to ensure they are suitable, effective, and regularly updated for all operations.
  • Prepare and distribute materials to promote QHSSE awareness to foster a positive safety culture (e.g. safety flashes, bulletins, toolbox talks, and lessons learned).
  • Identify and address QHSSE training needs for both office-based and field personnel.
  • Collaborate with Procurement to assess and manage the QHSSE performance of suppliers and contractors.
  • Analyse, report on, and follow up on incidents, including identifying lessons from both incidents and routine operations.

Your qualifications

You are proactive, structured and have a practical mindset. You take ownership, work accurately and feel responsible for supporting safe and compliant operations. You are able to connect with people at all levels, both in the office and on site, and know how to balance safety, quality, and operational needs.

In addition, you bring:

  • A Higher Vocational Education (HBO) degree, preferably in safety or technical field.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in a comparable QHSSE role within an operational or project-based environment.
  • Experience with QHSSE management and knowledge of international regulations and standards.
  • QHSSE certifications (e.g. NEBOSH certificate (MVK), ISO 9001 or 45001 Lead Auditor) or willing to obtain them.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with different stakeholders.
  • Proven contribution to a positive safety culture.
  • Comfortable working in an international and operational environment.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
  • Willing to travel abroad occasionally.

Our selection process
