As Global QHSSE Manager – Marine, you ensure that our operations at sea meet the industry standards. You help to drive our integrated approach to continuous improvement across the fleet. You are part of Roll Group’s Global QHSSE team and collaborate with colleagues across both land and sea operations to promote and strengthen a positive safety culture. Based in the Netherlands, you will be part of an international environment where equipment reliability and operational excellence are key to success. /ppPosition /ppAs Global QHSSE Manager – Marine, you are responsible for the effective implementation and improvement of QHSSE policies, systems, and practices across our maritime operations. You oversee the marine part of the Roll Group Operating Management System (ROMS Marine), ensure compliance with international standards and regulations, and support the development of a positive safety culture throughout the fleet. In this role, you collaborate with both vessel crews and shore-based teams, and play a key part in audits, certifications, and continuous improvement initiatives. /ppYour tasks and responsibilities /pulliDevelop, review, and optimize company QHSSE procedures and processes in collaboration with the QHSSE team, ensuring involvement and alignment with other internal stakeholders for acceptance and implementation. /liliIdentify and implement updates to legislation to maintain compliance with ROMS Marine. /liliMaintain and oversee ROMS Marine /liliPrepare and distribute materials to promote QHSSE awareness and foster a positive safety culture (e.g., flashes, bulletins, toolbox talks, and lessons learned). /liliIdentify and address QHSSE training needs for all crew and shore-based personnel. /liliFacilitate and monitor risk assessments to ensure they are suitable, effective, and regularly updated for all operations. /liliReview and address reports of non-conformities, observations, and hazardous situations, working with relevant personnel to define and implement corrective actions. /liliPlan, execute, and follow up on internal and external audits as required. /liliManage certification and inspection programs, including ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001, and ISM, ISPS and MLC compliance. /liliAnalyze, report, and provide follow-up actions for incidents to ensure lessons are learned and communicated across the organization. /li /ulpYour qualifications /ppYou are proactive, structured, and have a practical mindset. You take ownership, work accurately, and feel responsible for driving safe, compliant, and efficient operations. You can connect with people at all levels, both on board and ashore, and understand how to balance safety, quality, and operational effectiveness in a complex, international environment. /ppIn addition, you bring: /pulliHigher vocational education (Maritime) or equivalent. /liliAt least 5 years of experience in the maritime industry and in a similar QHSSE role. /liliExtensive experience with QHSSE management in the maritime sector, including strong knowledge of international regulations and industry standards (e.g., ISM, ISO, MLC, ISPS). /liliQHSSE certifications (e.g. NEBOSH certificate (MVK), ISO 45001 Lead Auditor) or willing to obtain them. /liliExperience with OVMSA and working with suppliers on QHSSE performance. /liliStrong communication skills and the ability to work with different stakeholders. /liliProven contribution to a positive safety culture. /liliComfortable working in an international and operational environment. /liliFluent in Dutch and English, both spoken and written. /liliWillingness to travel internationally and occasionally work on board vessels. /li /ulpWhat we offer /ppChallenging and varied work (full-time) at a fast-growing international company.
